When are games and practices?

Each team is scheduled two Preseason Practices every week by the League scheduler before the start of the season. There are no official practices scheduled on Wednesday or Sunday. However, coaches may schedule additional practices on any day of the week on a first come first server basis.

Once the season begins, you will have one weeknight game and one Saturday game. Most Divisions have a 12-14 game schedule. Weeknight games begin at 5:45 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.  Saturday game times begin at 9:00 a.m. See OM Softball Park Rule Book for league specific rules. For rules in which our Rule Book is silent, we follow the most recent USSSA fast pitch softball rules.

What age group will my child play in?

OMYBS Softball is available for children ages 4 and up. Softball Division Age is determined by the age of the child on January 1. For example if a child is 6 at registration, but will be 7 on January 1 of the upcoming Spring Season, the child shall be considered as League Age 7 (playing in the 8U League). However, if the child is still 6 on January 1, but turns 7 during the season, the child will be considered League Age 6 (playing in the 6U League).

**After registering on the website, a list of available divisions will be automatically generated based on the participant's birthday.**
